Dodge Ram Rebel Edition!
Known for its customizability, mixture of comfort and ruggedness, distinctive appearance, and fiercely loyal fan base, the Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup truck that comes with new trim levels for 2016 that include the Laramie Limited and the Rebel.
The Laramie features a prominent badge, Argento wood, and premium leather. The Rebel offers increased ride height, standard 33-in. tires, skid plates, tow hooks, and other off-road-ready features, as well as Radar Red and black seats with tire-tread-matching pattern.
Both new versions of the Ram feature a new all-black headliner and pillars combination, and a grille design that represents a significant styling departure for the Ram Truck brand.
The standard engine in the Ram 1500 is a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 that generates 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft of torque. The available 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine makes 29 mpg highway, and generates 240 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. The optional 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine makes 25 mpg highway, generating 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque.
While the 1500 generates a load of power, if you're looking for something more serious the 3500HD has an available 6.7L Turbo Diesel power plant. But for serious towing there's the new Ram 3500 HD with the available 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel and its 900 lb-ft of torque. Properly equipped, this beast can tow up to 31,210 pounds.
The Command Center of the Ram is truly utilitarian. Instrumentation is easy to reason, intuitive, and ergonomically well-thought out. Included is a 7-inch instrument cluster and Uconnect 8.4, which includes an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, SiriusXM satellite radio and available navigation.
Ram 1500s feature several standard safety features such as crumple zones and side-impact door beams, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, trailer sway control and front and side-impact airbags. Optional features such as the parking and backup assist features are very useful for the big truck!
A turbocharged 3.0L "EcoDiesel" V6, rated at 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque is also available. It leads the class in fuel economy, with a highway EPA rating of 28 mpg. Towing capacity, when properly equipped is a stump-pulling 9,200 pounds.
